Frontgate Charlotte Outlet Store

To start I have been to this location 2 or 3 times to look around. Everything they have is beautiful. I have seen many things I have wanted for my home. Yesterday I went in to look one more time at some barstools I had seen a week earlier. I was met with a warm smile from Angie who greeted me when I came into the show room. I showed her what I had come to look at and she immediately offered to get a measuring tape so I would have an idea of the dimensions. She had me take some photos while she did this and I told her I thought I would be back that evening to purchase them; however rush-hour traffic prevented this. So today I went back in and met Beth who smiled and welcomed me into the store. They had several of the same style I wanted and Beth helped me select 2 of them even pulling down a few for us to look at. Before we went to check out I mentioned I was also looking for something to use as a Tennis Shoe rack. (And I will just go ahead and say, A Fancy Tennis Shoe Rack). She walked me right to it! BOOM! I was sold. As I was checking out I met Sandra who was a delight. I made 2 trips home which worked out, as Beth could take her time wrapping the glass shelves up so that they would not be damaged on the second trip home. She was Meticulous! Then I met Adam who assisted myself and Beth getting things into my car. Before I pulled away curbside Beth thanked me so much for my business and even gave me a big hug telling me she looked forward to seeing me again soon. What a lovely experience! I am not sure what is happening at this store. But, within a 3 week period I have called twice only to be brushed off by the person answering who basically says she doesn’t have time to go and look at merchandise for me and that I need to come in. I don’t want to drive 3 hours if they don’t have something I want or if the price is too high. I get they are busy but they should not be rude to customers calling. I have been there at least 3 times in 2 years and bought quite a few items. Other similar outlets will text you pictures or email- much better service elsewhere.

When you find a deal here — it is a deal for sure — but make sure you check every inch of the piece. It is an outlet, so it makes sense that not everything is absolutely pristine, but many of the pieces have dings/scratches/stains…or all in all appear to have already been loved. The linens are usually lovely — but the price deals are not what I could consider deals. When we visited in August 2023 to see about the “outdoor deals” — 50% off outdoor — one of the melamine trays we liked was still $60-70 on sale. Frontgate prices are typically higher based on the brand and presumed quality, but the outlet does not seem to carry the same discount that it once did. Go in with an open mind that you are not likely to find AMAZING deals like you once did — but you could get someone of a deal on expensive pieces.

Purchased two very nice wood bar stools with backs--beautiful mocha leather and sturdy wood, elegant. Most amazing part--they retail at $729 each. Today, the deal of the day -- they were $99 each. YES!!! I walked all around and hope to find some dining room chairs--I saw some I liked but they only had 3 and I need 4. Some items, notably the deals of the day are phenomenal. It's all a matter of what they have and what you need. Some of the beds were on sale for 50% off. Frontgate generally has high quality stuff but is expensive. 50% off drops the price notably, but can still be expensive. Some items are notably damaged, so much so they wouldn't be possible to cover up or fix. Others looked perfect to me. Clearly a store worth returning to! Nya was very helpful and kind--thanks Nya! Very unique furniture store. They have a very large selection of some strange and some very cool unique furniture. If you are looking to finish you home with a certain look or color this is the first place you should check out. They have a lot of high back chairs and other things you can't find in your typical furniture store. Me and the wife always love looking around this store.
